Meet my brand-new Cooper S
Attached is a photo of my 2006 Cooper S in Carmel, California on Thursday. Just picked it up on Tuesday from Niello Mini in Sacramento, California. I've had a great first few days with it, including blowing off work on Thursday to drive on the windy, rural roads inland from the Monterey peninsula.

So did you take her on 12-mile drive or whatever it's called down there? Carmel is beautiful, it's been way too long since I've been up there.
Maybe we should put together a meet at the Concourse!

Thanks for all the compliments. The car is great.
I drove on Highway 68 over the Laureles Grade south to Carmel Valley Road, then inland towards Arroyo Seco. After Carmel Valley Village (just east of Laureles), it gets rural, just vineyards and undeveloped land. Apart from the blind corners, you can wind it out pretty nicely (watching the 4500rpm limit, of course).
I didn't take it on 17 Mile Drive--that's not too much fun. Too many wealthy old folks driving their Mercedes S-Classes slowly to the golf courses back there (such as Pebble Beach, which is in the background of
the photo I posted).

I bet you really like those back roads. Have a great time and drive it like you Stole it.
