What It Is

Hello Fellow Motorists
I'm New To The Site And Just Checking In. I'm Sporting A 05 Mcs Br Green W/union Jack On The Roof. Just Wondering If Anyone Has Had Problems With The Clock In The Speedo, Mine Seems To Speed Up On Its Own. Other Than That I'm Running Sweet And Got My First Speeding Ticket So My Cherry Has Been Popped So To Speak

Hi, Spike! Welcome to NAM! I haven't had issues with my clock, so I'd recommend that you give your dealership a call about it. Yeah...very easy to go too fast!

I just read on motoringfile today where a Mini advisor (answering questions) addressed the fast clock issue. Check it out

Welcome to the world of MINI motoring. Lets keep the capitalizations to the correct usage.

Oh my god Clo, can you believe it? I cant resist this one. Its like the answer to your earlier serving suggestion in the most smart-*** form possible, and I didnt even put him up to it. You asked for the shift key and you got it.

I really mean no offense, I just thought it was classic after our last squabble about not using the shift key. Man, I cant stop laughing.

Spike, I realize that you have no idea what I am talking about, but welcome to NAM (and what it is back at you)

(still laughing)

I just figured that since we had a youngster in the group, and he was introducing himself, I would be polite and speak same...

Translation: "Alright, don't go crazy, tickets are not good...and showing off on the roads is not smart...you're lucky the police didn't arrest you or you weren't hurt! Alright, it's Friday night, going home to be with (friends and family)...Peace. Mick"

Not bad for an old broad...Eh? See? working in the jail for 18 years...I learned how to speak Spanish (the inmates ALWAYS teach yo the dirty words first) and ebonics...you can teach an old dog new tricks. Mick

Actually for "an old broad" i think you sound very ignorant. I can't believe you just made such a blanket statement:

He didnt even use such ebonics that would call for such a rediculous statement as the one you made. It could be argued that he used one "slang word" when he said "sweet"....but he certainly didnt do anything that called for you to make the joke that you did. I understand that you were joking but I feel that in your most recent statement, you insulted all of us "youngsters". It is by no means "polite"(as you said), to talk down to a level that you assume all youngsters are at.

I'm happy that you are so proud with yourself in the fact that you can connect with the youngsters thanks to the ebonics you have learned, but I regret to inform you that many of us youngsters speak just as well, if not better than you. Please be mature and keep an open mind...I hate seeing adults embarass themselves by making ignorant assumptions.

"Peace out yo"

Rally, I think we are in agreement for once. I agree and found her post a bit ignorant as well. All different kinds of people drive MINIs and all deserve the same amount of respect.

You betta reckognize

Maybe chill pills should come in the mail to all NAMers.

You didnt find her post a bit insulting? I interpreted it as being so, but maybe she was just kidding and meant no harm. I think it could be taken either way.
