i dont know about all of you, but i hate having my radar detector on the window. i put it on the dash, but i had this ugly *** wire comiing down by the speedometer.. so here is what i did. while installing my ipod connector, i noticed that there was empty space behind the spdmtr. i mounted my radar right in the middle of the dash (basically on top of the spdmtr) i then drilled a small hole (3/32, 1/8) right next to it. it missed all the guages. of course you have to splice the wire and run the cord down the hole (a hanger taped to the wire works great) bring it all the way down to the place under the controls (that tray behind the cig lighter) that cover pops off (also where my ipod sits and the wire for that is as well) and you can reattach the wires and just plug it in. looks f'ing awesome, all my friends (of course sitting in the passenger seat) think that it a wireless. dont have a pic of it, but ill get one soon. my car is in the shop getting the bonnet repainted. all the rocks on the road do some damage. yeah, its winter here in upstate NY.
