First Morning Driveway Shot!!!
Red Erik has finally arrived! I picked him up yesterday at Ralph Schomp in Colorado! Here he is resting from his first evening of visiting friends and touring around town. Both dogs (Yoshi and Bear) have already been treated to a first ride and have christened the car with lots of window licking and saliva! Yay!! Scout (the cat) nods her restrained approval.

More pics leter on Red Erik!! In the meantime, for those of you that have the iPod Interface booklet, please turn to page 12, read through the list of "Playlist naming" examples paying close attention to the 10th example. Cool, no? Talk about a weird cosmic serendipity thing!

Thats a very large cat you got there.
I am pleased to report (and more pictures are on the way...promise) that Red Erik is totally awesome in the snow. While not quite up to par as compared to the pounding along the east coast, the Colorado front range (the flatlands, eh?) is finally seeing some appreciable snow accumulation. With some trepidation, I took RE out (as opposed to selecting Elmer the Wonder Truck). Probably no surprise to those of you olde-timey Mini owners, but I was very pleased to find the Mini was outstanding in packed snow and ice conditions. The wheels spun just a bit, but compared to my fellow compadres on the roads this morning the Mini motored without problem! Of course, chosing between my loyal truck with a slow and questionable heater or the new Mini with a great heater (and, btw...heated seats) may have swung the vote a bit. Motor on!! P.S. Scout sends her best and appreciates all of the kind and supportive comments!
Good to see none of your fears from that other thread were realized! Glad to see Red Erik made it home safely. I love the r99s on the CR/B. Its a car after my own heart. I'm selling my CR/B r99-ed MINI today. Its like the circle of life!
