I've been on here a few months but I guess I have not moved into 1st gear yet. I've had my MINI for about 8 months and still can't get the smile off my face. Thanks to REME and Norcal for the intro into great back roads, which I never would have known about.

 

You shift gears with posts. It is listed in the FAQs 1st Gear11 2nd Gear51 3rd Gear151 4th Gear301 5th Gear 601 6th Gear1101

If you go to this thread and read this thread the first few post you will find out all about it. If you read most of the rest you will learn how I made 6th gear in 66 days.

 

Don't worry about the gears I was in neutral until mid dec. then after reading for hours each day I began to find parts of NAM that I could contribute to w/out feeling out of my league, now I'm in second less than a month later. Hey you've been busy motoring and you have big on your face thats what matters, enjoy NAM don't let it add stress and its almost as good as motoring

 

and better on gas too!
