I'm not sure Sandie, but a lot of meaningless responses like this one have gotten me well over 4,000 posts!!  Perhaps one of the smart people will chime in.

See, you're almost there!!! You know, it's funny...I was driving a friend's Cooper CVT, shifting manually on the highway, and I could have sworn it got up to 7th or 8th "gear". I freaked!!!

Don't pay attention to the gears! I joined years ago and am still in 5th. Watch that tachometer though!

It's like I've said before, 5th gear is the fastest gear anyway, enjoy it. Once you get to 6th, you're just cruising.

Speaking of which, you're almost there anyway, TMGRobyn!

BTW do posts in OT count? Other board don't use them in the count.

I wish edits counted, I seem to do that often enough on these late night posts

So if I keep posting useless responses and meaningless info I should be able to make it to 6th gear by the time I decide to trade in for a newer model....not bad. Maybe I should go to every thread and just reply with a "good point you got there" or "do you think so?".....that'll speed up things.

I have a 5-speed MC, it seems like 6th gear would be out of the question............unless you count reverse.

What the OT posts or the Edits???

Not that I'm trying to get my post count up with a question that I already know the answer to. Na, I wouldn't do that.

Or you could take a different approach and reply with "you're stupid" or "that is wrong" or "you're a hater" and other fun stuff like that.
