GloveboxTidy

My order from Classic is due late next week: checker mirror caps, CR shifter, boot mat, boot net, Euro Parcel Shelf, Aux Port

And my Canadian Circle Mats are somewhere between Vancouver and here.

Close - but no cigar on Don Carlos

Well, with a bit of luck and some semi-logical random number sequence running on the WW site I managed to find some cargo and vehicles on the Don Carlos but no chunk of MINIs. VINs, Bills of Lading and Booking #'s are all super-heavily cross referenced so when you get your hands on a known good one for a given ship and voyage you can start running that number out into lot of different directions via the various cargo search methods. For instance, some of Don Carlos' Booking #'s go GBSOU398_ _ _ . Example: GBSOU398025 is a booking number for a singular piece of cargo. If you run out the "025" portion you'll find other vehicles, cargo, who knows what. You can crunch Bill of Lading #'s in the same fashion like: 414110 - yeah, it's on the Don Carlos but it's not a MINI. The thing that really baffles me is those of you with VIN's that don't show up in the system after leaving the factory. Given how cross referenced these numbers are it almost seems impossible - unless . . . ugh, I shudder to think.

Oh well, I tried. Just remember that when we've all gotten our cars in awhile all these machinations are gonna seem awfully silly.

Gotta go, Jack just called and I'm needed back down at CTU.

bluzeke thanks for trying! It won't matter in a couple of weeks when we're driving home our new cars!

Thanks,
Steve

The price hike is $500 for both the Cooper & Cooper S convertibles......$300 for the Cooper S hardtop and apparently no increase for the Cooper hardtop.....according to MotoringFile. For what it's worth.

losing asterisk . . .

Next to "loaded on board", losing that asterisk is about as good as it gets around these parts. The asterisk seems to mean that your car is somewhat in a standby status or "waitlist". It seems there's always a certain amount of cars that do or don't make it - probably based on how much space the ship actually has after the numbers are tweaked. Generally it seems, if you're "asterisked" and don't make the loadup, you'll probably move closer to the head of the line for the next shipment. This is what happened to me the other day when I didn't quite make the voyage of the Boheme. Right now I seem good to go on the Integrity, but until I see the "loaded on board" message hopefully sometime on Sat. 2/4, who knows?

We live in Hope.

My '02 MCS drove away with a new owner last night. I loved that car, but a new one is just a few weeks away!

Just imagine, in a few weeks, we'll be comparing photos of our new MINIs instead of worrying about where they are in the Atlantic

Thanks for mentioning the new glovebox organizer. I've had the original for a long time and always found it a bit awkward. One of the dividers actually tore off when I removed the whole piece. I ordered the Tidy thing in electric blue for a real eye-opener when the lid is opened. I hope this new alternative proves to be a better fit.

I wonder why the price increase for the S is lower than for the other three models. It's fine with me.......ordered a hardtop S.

What's this Mind Meld email you guys were talking about? I would love to see a list of programmable options in advance

The dealer is installing the MINI Roof Rack, and iPod Connector before I take delivery.

DiD pointed me towards some very good looking wheels ... http://www.motoringphotography.com/solar_red/

the price increase is more because the S already went up 200$ for the 2006 year. SO really they all went up 500$ just some more gradually than others

that would put you in week five... the week you are completed is your production week and you started in week 5

Probably week 6 - they go more by the completion date which in your case is probably around 2/10. Good luck with everything!

About the boat...

Well, it looks like our new 2006 MCS w/ JCW/LSD is booked on the Don Pasquale. No worries, just a 4-5 day delay.

For those who are tracking their Mini's, here is the direct link to the shipping company's cargo tracking site:
http://www.2wglobal.com/www/customer...LaunchPage.htm

Booking number for this group of cars is: SESTO399047
There are apparently 230 Mini's slated for the Don Pasquale as of Friday.

Detailed information about the Don Pasquale for those who are curious:
http://www.walleniuslines.com/doc_up...onPasquale.pdf

Wow, there is an outdoor swimming pool on this vessel, our Mini's are travelling in style!!!

It's like watching a kettle boil, the anticipation is killing me. Maybe all this additional information isn't a good thing after all.

Dave

Anybody have a MINI2 account? Can you post in their January Production Support thread to check? I don't want to create an account for one post ...

Thanks!
