Where have all my fellow Week 50ers gone?

Rather quiet in here.....hopefully you've all not run off to another week

 

Still here....it is quiet in here though....

My latest update from a very thorough ASK-MINI customer service rep....looks like my MC is set to hit the production line on 12/12 ( apparently NOT finish production that day as previously reported )

However, the best case scenario according to my new found friend at MINI is the MC should hit the paint shop by end of next week and hopefully be completed by 12/19....average ship time to US is 9-10 days according to my buddy, then its off the dock, inspection hopefully in Charleston as it is a not so long truck ride to Flow in Winston-Salem

So, it would seem absolute best case would be around Jan 5 or so for delivery, but I'll add a week anyway....just about what I was told up front

 

Well I am in the DC area, I guess it's not that much farther up north....but i will be happy with a late Jan delivery date.

 

I've been busy with work. That's good. I'll have a car to pay for soon.
ASKMINI reps still tell me I'm good for 12/13 wrap. I'm planning around a mid January delivery, but based on Runningman's info, it sounds like it might be earlier.

I was bummed that they couldn't tell me where I was in the factory? They apparently started on it Friday, not today as I was previously told was the case. For some reason I thought either ASKMINI or the OL would give you steps within the factory.

If I counted correctly there are 3 PW cars in this week?

 

I cannot log into the OL this afternoon.

ASK MINI said that car should be in production by tomorrow evening.

 

Looks like I'm in for week 50 as well!

Yesterday ASKMINI changed my status from "Scheduled for production... no date set" to "IN production, estimated completion date Dec. 15"! what a wonderful surprise as I was originally told by the dealer that it probably won't go into production until after the plant shuts down for 3 weeks in January. So I'll be getting my MINI much earlier than expected... maybe mid-January.

 

Yesterday I couldn't log into the OL either, so I emailed them but I got too impatient to see what the OL status said (even though I know what ASKMINI says), so I just made a new account, being that I hadn't done anything yet anyway.

 

I forgot to update, I got an email back saying that it was a problem with the servers and by the time I had left work and got home the problem had been fixed.

 

Being that my MINI is in production almost 2 months earlier than the dealer estimated, I'm wondering if MINI boosts your spot in line if you call ASKMINI a lot? (giving priority to people that are obviously very excited about it)

 

Doubtful as my MC finish date has been pushed back a week despite my frequent calls.....:impatient

 

That's funny, elbum0, I've actually being reading your posts, because I ordered my MINI on Nov. 9th from Mountain View, got my production # the same day as you, and I'm still waiting for my status to change from On Order. I think ASK MINI and maybe then my MA are going to get calls today!

 

After restraining myself for a week from calling the 866 # AGAIN to check on my MC's status, I gave in today and was told it's in production and scheduled to be completed on 12/18!!! I'm so excited! Guess I'd better get my present car on the market and get some cash !

 

I'm pretty sure it also depends on how backed up your dealer is... My MINI of Mountain View has a $2500 markup over MSRP (to keep the waiting list shorter), and they said that there are only a couple MINI dealerships in CA that don't have a markup, and the wait at those dealerships can be up to a year. After doing a little research I found that he was right, and accepted the markup.

Hey everyone. I just got notice that I am in week 50 but i reside in canada. Not to sure what that will mean for dilevery, ask mini dosent have info for us canucks.

Anyway if anyone has an idea on when i can expect it let me know

That kinda sucks, doesn't MINI Canada help you guys out in any way?

 

They put me in touch with bmw service canada . they provided me with a production week but nothing more.

Atlest i know i am week 50. i just dont know what that means on delivery date

 

Woot. She's in the body shop. I assume that means paint.

The nice voice automated robot gave me the news. You can't be far behind me.

I just checked in with the automated ASK-MINI line, got message " Your vehicle is in the Paint shop, estimated completion date 12/12 (today!)"

Woohoo.... may have to speak to a rep later and get some more details...

When I checked with a 'Live' person at ASK-MINI they said my MINI is done and awaiting a ship!!!!!!

Man that was fast.....starting to think a delivery before the end of the year is a possibility....
