Congratulation effusant! The cordoba effect from the interior lighting is pretty cool.
I washed the car saturday and it looked pretty cool. It rained yesterday and since it had been washed and waxed well, the water beaded up on the body and the glass, looked pretty sweet. Just rolled past 1200 this weekend, 30 more to go!

Just clicked 1100 this morning, should hit the magic number this weekend.

What's the biggest complaint you've gotten from passengers in your MINI so far?

Mine's been - Where's the clock??!!!
(Cockpit Chrono, so it's below speedo, making it a driver only clock unless the passenger knows where to look!)

I just got an invite from my neighbor who got me into the whole MINI madness when he purchased his a year ago..

Looking forward to a nice long trip in the MINI...

 

I probably might go, depending on how my projected work schedule is at that point

 

My car got its first bath on Saturday as well.....

I went with the Armor All gel system, squeeze on wash with a wipe-dry wax, worked real well for me....

I've never been much of a "detail" guy but this was quick and easy, along with the Armor All Wheel cleaner for the alloys....

Just hit 1000 miles today....at 1008

 

275 mi now.

gassed up earlier tonight -- $35.56 for 13.365 gal at 270.9 mi.=> 20.4 mpg Dissapointing, but it's still in the break-in phase. We'll see what happens once I start driving longer distances and at more steady speeds.

 

Got my MINI today!!! Drove a little over 100 miles so far... this break-in period shouldn't take too long at all.

I'm totally glad that I didn't get the navigation system, I love the giant speedo. I'm also loving the anthracite + chrome line interior, looks REALLY great at night (haven't even had a chance to drive in daylight yet).

The aero kit looks fantastic as well. Very serious. The only thing I don't like is that the rear bumper has fake grill stickers on it, but apparently it's believable enough... fooled all my friends.

I know that we all know about how great they handle and how powerful they are, but man! Before this I've owned an old Volvo and a 4Runner, so this is quite a change of pace.

I'm almost at 1600 miles today.

Not going to be much driving for the next few weeks it looks like.

How's everyone else from Week 50 doing?

JASMCS, did you pick up your MINI? If so pics/hows it goin?

 

630 miles, around 21 mpg on the two fillups I've gotten.

 

925, around 24mpg.

 

I'm at 1600 miles getting 31.5 mpg pretty consistently now....

First long road trip will probably be the Dragon in May.....

I just rolled over 2000 this afternoon.

 

I am at 4700 miles now....I average about 29 mpg with mostly city driving.
