Anyone hear? =)

Hi!
I'm new to this site. I'm not getting my Mini till March but I'm sooo excited, I figure I'd better make good use of this site beforehand. So.... is anyone from Seattle?
I would love to meet up w/ other fellow mini cooper owners and perhaps go for a drive or something (even though it's still a few months away, doesn't mean I can't plan ahead )
I will be getting a red cooper S. '06. w/ a body kit... and white bonnet stripes.

I'm already missing the little bzzzzzng noise from the turbo ;p

There's also a local Seattle club at http://www.psmini.org

I'm, uh, from Seattle.

The '06 MINIs are all supercharged. The '07s will be turbocharged, so you'll be waiting for a very long time for your '06 to buzz like a turbo!

That would be a huge mistake. Its well known that the first year of any new generation of cars has all the faults, all the stuff breaking. Its much better to buy the third year when everything has been figured out and fixed. Just look at all the problems 02s have vice 05s

I don't know. My 05 is turning out to have it's share of 'waranteeable' items.

No problem. How was the auto show? I was thinking about going, but it's awfully wet outside--perfect reading time. Or driving about and dodging all the SUVs.

We went to the Auto Show today, in the rain

Fair show. I wish there were more concept cars, but it's not that kind of show. Highlights: Saturn Sky/Solstice looked very good. Sat in a new M5, what's not to love there. MINI had a nice red Works car.

What problems do the 02s have? I have an 02 and have not had any problems. Please tell me what to look out for.
