Here's my New 2005 HB/W MCS!!!!! (several pics)

Here it is! Sorry I didn't post sooner but I was busy Motoring! I've had my MCS 4 days now and I finished the break-in period last night. I've already torn through some sweet twisties, as well as evaded a few cops . I've waved at all the other MINI's I've seen and a cople of them waved back .

I have to agree with everyone's statement that once you get one of these, EVERYONE stares! When driving home through Kansas I stopped at a KFC for some food. During the stop everyone who walked in and out of the resturant circled my car a few times, peered into the windows, and (naturaly) grinned from ear to ear.

Anyway, without further adieu, here's a few pics of my brand new MINI:

Nice car! Whenever I go to a restaurant I try and sit where I can see my MINI - it is true about people circling it and looking in the windows. The car get a lot of attention! I can always count on comments from people in parking lots, too. Have fun, and happy motoring!

I have the same color combo! But I have the white S Lites. How the heck did you managed to break in your car in just four days? It took me almost a month to do it. Glad you're motoring though. Me, with gas prices the way they are right now, I'm only gonna take her out if I need to

Congrats, great lookin' car! (of course, I'm biased since mine's appearance was just about identical, down to the interior, until the mods began )

Saw some nice cars out today (including an SLR on the road in San Fran), but I agree, the Mini seems to still get some attention

BBOY, You have good taste!

Your choice of color is identical to mine except I have a perforated flag decal on my sunroof. I installed my front license plate lower than yours as I didn't want it to block the lower portion of my chrome grille. I am curious about your wheels. My 05 16" are a different style. Is that what you get with a larger wheel or is it an option?

I actually asked the dealership not to install the front license plate about a month before delivery, but they forgot . Oh well, I didn't get the chrome grill so it's not a big deal.

As for my wheels, they're the 17" Web Spokes. A factory option. I absolutly love them!

Day 1: Drove to Colorado Springs from Kansas City: 600 miles
Day 2: Tore up some twisties on CO Hwy 12: 350 miles
Day 3: Drove to Boulder to visit friends (and show off my car): 250 miles
Day 4: Gave several friends rides around town: 50 miles

I would've finished faster, except I had to work for the majority of days 2-4.

I thought you had vanished

Hey,
Good to see you got your wheels. I got the word today that mine is enroute. Although it is going to the West Coast on some ghost ship. Wish I could track it but guess I will just have to get some info from my MA first. Schomp says they will send me a photo when it arrives so you wont have to make a special trip to Denver to take pictures of my car when it gets there. Thanks again for the offer. Congrats on the breakin. I hope to do similar, as there is that long trip back to Nebraska after delivery.
Motor later

Great pictures Bboy. Nice looking MINI. Don't you absolutly love it? It has been one week and one day since I picked mine up. I took it on a little road trip to Iowa to show it off to family, but I only have about 970 miles on it now.

Gabe told me not to worry about the "break in" period. He had a long conversation with an engineer who was visiting the dealership not long ago and was told him from an engineering standpoint, there is no need to break it in. Drive it like you drive it he said. So I did.

I know what you mean about the attention you get now. In my sister's small town in Iowa I got a lot of looks and questions. Ladies at the gas station tell me how cute it is.

I do not believe in break-in period either, on my new cars, I just try to take it easy, because I do not want to crash them

BBoy - congrats - nice lookin' ride!!

We're still waiting for our Cool Blue S convertible from Schomp, but if you get the time for a motor between now and the end of the month, we still have the DS/B hardtop to roll in. . .speaking of which, it'll be hitting 'For Sale' status before too long, so if you have any friends that love your MINI and want to get one NOW. . .well, have 'em get in touch.

Congrats again - sweet car. . .

Bill
