Do big guys fit well in the Mini S

I am 6"3' and a good 250lbs, I fit fine in the car, but wondering if it will get real small or uncomfortable to drive after a while.

Thanks

Probably not - I'm 6' 205# (was 230+ when we got the MINI) and I think it's more comfortable now than when I got it.

For me, the car seems bigger every time I get into it. I think you'd need to be over 6'6" and about 275 or more to NOT fit a MINI.

Just my thoughts. . .

At every MINI gathering, you will find people of all sizes and dimensions (girths)! The MINI was designed to accomodate drivers up to 6'8" tall and I have seen many that tall hopping out of them....SO FUNNY!

Have you test-driven one, yet? Be sure to adjust seat-height as well as moving it back. That will allow you to get the comfiest fit!

Where you ever a 'Dr. Who' fan?

Well, the MINI is a bit like the Tardis - Dr. Who's time machine - that looked like a red british phone box on the outside but was actually multi-roomed on the inside.

I'm 6' 1" and 195 lbs. and I think the MINI has just as much room up front as any other car. The outside is misleading...

I've had my car for over 2 years and still look forward to each and every drive!!!

I'm 6'2", 265 and fit fine - however I have a tall torso, and my head is 1" from the roof with the seat all the way down, and the back positioned properly. I had to lower the back with a helmet, it wasn't comfortable.

My buddy is about 6'1" @ 400, and didn't fit worth a crap width wise. He barely fit in our Beetle - and it's the first time I REALLY saw the size difference between the two.

Sorry to nitpick, but the Doctor's TARDIS was blue.

I can't even imagine you driving a Hummer H1 - you'd need a pillow AND a stack of phone books. . .

I've driven a few... getting ready to order mine. 6'4, 250lbs and no problems at all. frankly any time in a bigger car seems like I'm in a boat. my current car is a 4dr grand am and that seems really big too. of course my first car was a dodge omni so it seems normal to be able to reach the other door without a stretch

I also found the seats very comfortable... not sure about long distances, but I had no complaints at all during my 4 test drives.

I'm 6'1" and 235 lbs, with long legs (34" inseam), and I've got more legroom in the Mini than I've had in any car since a Datsun 280Z I had about 12 years ago. I took a 1400 mile trip in my MC the first week I had it, and it was great except the thigh bolsters on the sport seats were uncomfortable after an hour or two. I'm sure that problem will be taken care of with a little weight loss on my part though, I'd guess at 200-210 lbs it should be a perfect fit for me. Yet another incentive to go on a diet this fall

I'm 6'7, a wide body, big all around, and I fit great. of course I can't see the climate buttons on the left side due to my knee being in the way, but I am very comfortable in a MINI.

However, I don't have leg room in a Corvette, a Cobalt, a Focus, a Maxima, the list goes on and on. The MINI is much roomier than people think.

Was it? ..Oops Sorry. Funny, I seem to remember it was a red phone box. I don't ever remember seeing blue phone boxes in the UK.

That's because it was a "Police box", not a regular phone box.

I'm 6'8" @ 300 lbs and I am totally comfy. Plenty of head-room. Fit better in my MINI than I do in my Nissan MAXIma.

I'm almost exactly your size, and I've got plenty of room and stay comfortable on long trips
