He's on order!

Went to the local dealer Friday and put down the green for the new MINI. . .specs are:

MCSCa
Cool Blue/Blue Top
Blue Leather Interior
Anthracite trim (changed from the original idea of Cool Blue)
Premium Package
Convenience Package
Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
HK, PDS, Chrome Int (all standard on the Convertible)
Nav
Various other check boxes on the order sheet. . .

Don't have production info yet, we expect him to arrive around Halloween sometime. . .maybe we shoulda got the Orange and Black? Looking like his name is going to be "Sully". . .people with kids will know what's up with that!!

Sully

Sully is a perfect name.
You should have white teeth pinstriped on the the bonnet instead of stripes.

MONSTR Vanity plate?

Congrats on the family addition. The wait for you should be easier than for most since you already have another Cooper to play with.
I on the other hand "have to drive" a BMW MCoupe while I wait on my pure silver MCS. But my "boat" is landing apparently this week thursday.
Cheers,
H

The change in transmission is the main reason for the change in MINIs! The wife is the main driver of the MCS now () and a lot of her driving is in stop-n-go Denver traffic. We figured the MCSCa was the way to go for her - I actually like the way the auto drives - it's actually pretty fun. . .

duhhhhh! I had some on my miata. I didn't check the test page where they say what cars they fit. Looking at the grill, you could make it work I was going to do it to my mini and make braces for them

Donna,

Don't know if we're going to be a two-MINI family - yet. We may end up trading Earl on Sully, so if we do, I'll possibly be ordering my '06 when we pick up Sully. Our current MINI (Earl) has a lot of stuff I don't need for Auto-X (Leather, nav, etc.) and doesn't have a lot of stuff I DO need (LSD!) - so I thought I'd be better off to order one spec'd out the way I want it. I priced one out that's only about a grand more than we paid for the loaded '04 used. . .so that's probably the route we'll go. . .time will tell!

Ask-Mini has us with a completion of production date of. . . .

31 August 2005!!

Figure another 2 weeks or so for shipping and delivery, we're looking mid September when we get to meet Sully!!

Much better than the late October we were initially expecting. Let's call it 9-10 weeks from order to delivery. . .

Aaaahhhhh. . .

I'd probably get in trouble for whichever answer I gave, so I'll just take the fifth on this one.
