1st of our two new Mini's is home!

Got my CR/B JCW MCS home today. My wife's PW/B MCSa is due in to the dealer in two weeks.

I can't begin to describe the the exhilaration these cars bring. I didn't want to stop driving. My wife can't wait to get hers. We're already planning a short 200 mi drive tomorrow. 90mph on the interstate is a breeze and I didn't even go above the 4500rpm limit....Changes lanes and corners like its glued to the pavement. God I love this car....

A few pics with many more to follow.

CONGRATS! I am very excited for both of you! The cool part will be when you are both motoring in your MINIs at the same time. You can enjoy the experience of driving one ,while watching the other fly around the corners in front or behind you. I think the MINI is fun to drive AND watch. Happy motoring!

Wonderful! It looks like you have the JCW pads on the front only--is that right? How do you like them?

JCW brakes

yes the kit only replaces calipers on the front with larger vented/slotted rotors. The rear is new pads. I haven't had a lot of seat time in a stock 'S' but with the complete JCW kit (eng, brakes, susp) this car feels more solid, stops better and of course has power to spare. Can't say enough about how much I like it so far. Only more miles and time will improve the experience.

Wow. you don't mess around. Most of the two mini households get to that point over the course of a few years. You'll get your two minis over a few days.

Beautiful car. congrats!

Love the car. Must be nice to have another on the way.

I like the black stripes on the boot. Did the dealer install them or did the factory build that way?

Happy Motoring - Fred

Beautiful Car! Our's is exactly the same...the only difference is that ours has the chrome package and unfortunately doesn't have the JCW kit. One question though...Why doesn't our JCW MCS have the JCW aero kit and the 18" wheels or did you not want that?

Donna/Mike, Thanks, we will I'm sure.

Dmeyer, yes they're tinted. 35/20, max allowed in NM by contractor thru the dealer.

MyMini05, boot stripes were done by same person dealer has do his tint work.

Here's a few pics from our run up to the top of Sandia Peak at about 11000 feet. Sure was fun on the twisties.

Stopped by dealer's on the way home, picked up a cover and found out Kat's car is expected in next week..All we can say is SWEEEEEET. Can't wait to motor back up together.

Even considering the cost of the JCW kit, the abilities of a MINI vs it's price tag still make me giggle.

I didn't get the Aero kit because cost vs performance for one and the other being I kind of liked the look of the black roof and black bottom panels sandwiching the Chili Red. I went with the 17" web spokes for the same reason. Seems like that's all life is any more, choices....

Congrats on your car too. Saw your post in 1st gear....Enjoy.
