Ordered today!

After months of checking them out -- had to see how they handled snow -- my wife and I took the leap and ordered an MC in liquid yellow with a white roof, cold weather and sports packages, rear fogs, on board computer and I'm so excited I forgot what else!

I left the color up to the wife, but the options were mine so the dog and I drove three hours to our nearest dealer last weekend to check them all out in person and take a few test drives. The sales guy was pretty cool. When I mentioned I was worried how it handled rough pavement and dirt roads (I live on a dirt road) he directed me to some rough stuff. It did just fine. And I was worried it wouldn't keep up on the Interstate...so he took me on the Interstate and let me play in the traffic. Again, it did just fine.

Now comes the endless wait!

Congrats! Ours is sitting at the dock waiting for a ship, so my wait is a little less than yours, but it will go by fast.

It sounds like your MC will be sharp looking, and you already know it will do what you want and need.

Welcome to a very cool club!

Hey, welcome to NAM! Just remember: John Cooper probably drove an quite a few dirt roads on his way to another rally victory!

Congrats on the order.

I almost got the LY/W, actually planned to order that for a month, last minute impulse at the dealer, changed to JB. Choice of colour is the hardest part.

I have also found the wait to be fun. When you get your production number start checking the owners lounge every hour. Don't forget to call Ask-MINI often (more up to date). Finally track your ship as it crosses the pond.

Mine is at the VDC now, (I think).

Wait a minute, did I say this was fun. This is awful.

I WANT MY MINI!
