Hi! I am new to this. I work on a lot of vehicles for myself and my kids. Enough to keep me busy. I recently purchased a 2005 Mini Cooper and am unfamiliar with this car. I have a service vehicle light that comes on and a P0705 reading on a diagnostic. It jerks when I put it in gear and barely picks up speed between 20 and 40 mph. I purchased a shift control module but apparently was the wrong one as I couldn't find it on the transaxle or the shifter. I saw a thread on this cite where a guy had taken a small module off of the shifter and repaired a connection and said it was the shift sensor module but didnt look anything like the one I had purchased. I am stumped as to what to look for or if the module will even correct the problem. Any help or ideas would be appreciated..
