Name's Sam. Just bought an 06 R52s about a month or so ago, my first mini coming from 17+ years of nothing but hondas! It's pretty neat, i think it's spec'd out pretty well. It has the chrono pack, HK audio, two tone leather interior etc.
I'm not one to take things slow and with the quarantine, I have been busy putting some touches on the mini.
I've installed Tein lowering springs
Simmons 3 piece wheels
adjustable rear lower control arms
AFE intake
milltek non-resonated catback
CS 15% pulley, Koyo tensioner, NGK 7-range plugs
CS stubby antenna
cut the oem shifter by 2
id a flashing brake lid mod to the lower reverse lights from the pre-facelift model
Just ordered led tail lights from Taiwan, a Milltek header with HFC from Way, and a stud/nut conversion kit with some wheel spacers.
Refreshing to see a forum that is still alive when most are dead (i am a regular on Honda-tech.com since 2004)
Post # 16 I have some more update i need to add. R52 will get coilovers. I have an factory NLA Aero body kit to install (sometimes called a JCW kit). JCW BBK from R56/R58. I have another set of wheels R113s. Just got the alt, starter, and battery done. starter lasted like 270K. lol
My R58 JCW I have Ohlins/ Team dynamic wheels and just added Maxton design aero trims all around. Getting a catch can for that and I just did the thermostat.
Thanks, yes it was a rare add on it aftersales or at delivery a the MINI dealer. So rare and the modified JCW head kit was even rarer. Kits nla now. BMC made the filter.

Very nice
on this link of yours, it looks like the oem wheels are on spacers? Do you remember what the effective offset end up being?
I was on 20mm at the time (hair past flush) and went back to 15mm (almost flush) on R91 17x7" ET48. Differs with wheels and offset We photo shopped it lowered to give it a better look. If you got 25 or 30mm on the back it will poke and knock off the rear wheel arches if you hit bumps... i have tested those. So you would have to shave them or get clinched wider flares.

my wheels are +39 at the moment. I've bought 12mm spacers for all 4-sides.
Looking at it again, i think the front needs 5mm max to be flush, rear will be +27 with the spacers, not sure how its going to look. (At least i can add/negate camber in the rear)
Yes with aftermarket wheels that are not common and what suspension you have you might have to play around. Best way to find it is this way. I don't know if you saw this. Has over 2 million views.
