Greetings from sunny Arizona! I Just recently purchased my R53, and have loved every minute of it since. I decided to join this forum to see what others are doing with their cars, and to help out in any way I can. I have been an auto tech for over 10 years, although most of that is from American makes. I know a high school auto tech teacher that use to be a BMW/MINI mechanic. He told me he became "bored" working on Minis because it was always the same problems. Fortunately for you, driving a Mini is anything but boring. Thanks for the welcome, and I will will be looking to do some mod work to my Mini. She came pre-modded with a Dinan intake. I can only assume thats why I sound different than all the others!
