New to forum, Thank you

Hi all, new to the "Mini" world, 2004 S. Questions follow 4 photos. Thanks in advance, Jerry

A couple of quick questions. 1) Front windshield washer and headlight washers don't work. Rear is fine. Is there a separate circuit or fuse for these? It seems odd that neither works. Just bought the car so pretty unfamiliar. I assume there are separate pumps for headlight and windshield. Seems unlikely they would both be out. 2) Previous owner insisted on using only "Mini" oil in engine. I don't believe him. Would any good quality synthetic work, and if so what weight? I live in CO, it gets's cold and I drive it year round. 3) Previous owner installed Megan euro 2 coilover shocks all around. Where is the ride adjustment on rear shocks? I've removed rear seat, looked around in the trunk area. I can't find a **** to adjust ride that looks anything like the ones on the front. Are they behind a plastic trim panel somewhere? 4) Passengers side door won't unlock remotely or with switch on dash. Should I assume bad motor or again does it have it's own fuse. I think I solved the shock issue. Apparently the rear don't adjust. Silly me.
Thanks in advance, Jerry Scavezze

those two sites will be your friend and help answer some questions. you don't have to use MINI oil, plenty of options.

I've had my mini 8 months now and I've been running Walmarts syntech 5w40 full synthetic . 0 issues so far . My mini has 200k and alot of mods too. I always run premium 92oct gas but I cut it with a little e85 to bump my octane up Abit over 95..
Is that an after market intercooler hotside intake I think it's called , the piece attached to the left of your intercooler.
