Newer mini owner in OakCreek, WI
Hello, I have had my mini about 7 months . My 01 s55 amg got totalled after I traded my built 30th anv Camaro for it.. this is my 1st 4cyl fwd car since I was young, I'm now 33... I love the car and it's surprisingly quick . I attached a video but I've done more mods since then and put some stickers on it.
I was also wondering if the mini dealership any where around here would flash the jcw tune into my ecu and if so how much $$$$ you think that would run me , or will they just charge my labor rate by the hour ??
and anyone have an R53 parts car, I really need the harness that plugs into the gas pedal sensor, just the plug with 4in of wire behind it so I can splice it in.
Here's the list of mods :
.15% SC pulley
.Lightened crank and upgraded tensioner
.Cold air intake ( actually hollowed out behind filter)
. msd coilpacks ,wires and range colder ngk's
.long tube headers , no cat pacesetter exhaust
.jcw fuel injectors
.larger intercooler and upgraded boots
.pedal commander thingy ( yet to Install )
.short throw shifter ( debating whether to install )
.oil catch can ( useless, no blow by )
. Rpf1 15x7 with 205/60r15s

Is there a vin checker I could use to determine the factory options my car came with ? Idk if it has sport suspension or lsd , though it's a very firm ride and I'm 90% sure it has an lsd as I can leave 2 bacon strips and the inside is fully loaded with I think every available option at the time.
I would just like to check though ...

I bought this car and went too look at it thinking it was stock but as soon as I popped the hood I knew it was far from stock 😁. I couldn't ask previous owner about anything as the mother sold me her son's car ( now my mini ) who had passed away .
so it's been on me to find the mods..
I was looking into lsd's for the car and got an idea to go test my car.. I did a hell of a burnout and it left 2 completely even length tire marks.. does this mean I DO have an lsd ? I ran my vin and it was not on the factory options. Any other way to tell for sure ?
I'm loving this forum and you guys are an awesome help !

Anyone with info on the lsd ?
i installed my aux cable today and that was easy breezy . Can't believe I waited so long to do it . I also hard reset my ecu as I didn't do that after installing a few mods, I thought disconnecting the battery was fine but now my car seems to have less dead spot in the throttle pedal , actually surprisedly how much it helped .

In 3rd and 4th gear the pedal seemed like it had no effect 1/4th of the way down almost to the floor..it literally had no change on the engine input . The ECU reset cleared that up and increased the throttle response .
