Shaved and EVIL

We after my car's run in with a pair of channel locks , it was in need of some body work. Since I was having a bunch of work done, they did some custom painting of my gas cap, door handles, and headlight surrounds for me too Big props to Vanderpool's in Tucson for some great work.

I also had them shave the front MINI emblem. I think, and so do my mates, that the car looks very evil from the front now. It has me convinced that I need to shave the rear emblem too. Along with the smoked tails and corner markers that are on the way thanks to Jon's Tinted Tails, it will be blacked out other than inside the headlight assemblies. Last thing is to pull the front bumper off again and spray the rebar black so you can't see it through the aero grill. Hopefully this weekend.

Here ya go:

A couple with our new GTI:

Looking good... Now you just need to paint all the plastic trim, maybe replace the sideskirts with the aerokit ones... And I agree, you should shave off the rear emblem as well.

Yeah I am planning on having the trim done and shave the rear but it is $$. If I would have known that it would "only" be another $200 to do the rear, I would have when they had the car, but I didn't think of it. I was trying to keep costs down as much as possible as the GTI is the main mod focus right now. The ICE goes in it next week. My checkbook is screaming for mercy:impatient

Here's a better shot of the GTI for all the VWAG fans:

The 5-door is sweet If I had a 3 car garage (and the extra $$), I'd have a Black Magic sitting next to my PW/B MINI

Uh . . . sorry but . . . hmmm . . . the backgrounds reek suburbia.
Your Arizona desert is evil!

I'm sure your ride is awesome in person so I'd suggest driving out to a different location to show how menacing your MINI is. After putting in several C-notes into mods, what's poppin' a few bucks for gas to find a place that'll make your ride look wicked?

Here's an example of what I'm talking about . . .

Imagine your car with this background. I bet your MINI would definitely look evil in a similar industrial backdrop.

Oh, one more thing, your MINI does indeed look evil, good job. (I didn't even notice the suburbia in the background, don't worry).

Your black-out MINI looks great! Sinister. I like the textured black of the grilles against the gloss black of the body. It adds contrast. Very, very nice.

Who says the suburbs are not evil?

I really like the thoroughness of the black-out job. Very nice looking, even to a chrome lover such as myself!

Time to go to Bimmian.com and black out the "S" on your boot and side-vents too!

Very nice look!

Thanks for the compliments

There is no S badge on the rear. Took that off.
I am thinking about getting rid of the red "S" on the badges
Yes, those are CH's on the GTI
The side indicators are smoked now too

JFunk- You may want to look into the "coloured S decals" from essentialmini.co.uk.

I've seen the product up close (on batgirlwildcat's Malibu Stacy). I was impressed enough to order some for myself!

Jfunk, you coming to the dinner/ice cream social this Saturday in Casa Grande?

Your ride is looking tight. And I know your tails will be awesome because I am very familiar with Jon's work. Did you send off an extra set or did you just park your ride until they were done?

And when you say ICE I am very curious....wouldn't end in LED would it?
