The wife and I take delivery of our 2019 Cooper S convertible tomorrow. She has finally gotten her wish to own a MINI.
I think she's nuts but happy wife, happy life. We are trading our Lincoln MKT ecoboost. Talk about one extreme to another!
Looking forward to learning all about this car from current owners.

Hi and welcome to you and the wife, to The NAM family. This is a place to get information on your model and post to others, that are like minded and want to keep their Mini in good working order, without paying through the nose for upkeep!
Congrats on your new Mini.
Post some pics here, when you have it in your hot little hands! The wife may even let you drive it once! LOL

Got home yesterday right at dark. Should have known better to pick a new car on a Friday in downtown Chicago. Once we realized our mistake we had to cut our vehicle inspection short. It seems our active driving assistant is either non existent or not working. Tried to create a separate thread to discuss the problem but got an error message about not being authorized. I will try again later, but in the mean time, a couple pics.

Welcome to the forum and the MINI experience.

What I would give for the pop-up roll bar instead of the fixed bar in my first generation convertible. Whenever you back up and can see out the back, remember how lucky you are.

Huh, about that driving assistant. I'm not sure this one has it. There's a few things in the top of the windshield; one is the rain sensor that all of the F-cars have, and one is a camera, that some of the F-cars have though more and more these days.
From the pictures, it's hard to tell, but it looks like the space where the camera should be I can see through to the grass in the background. Very good looking MINI. That interior is amazing.
