I bought an R50 in 2003 and traded it in in 2006. I've wanted to get back ever since. I essentially got the same car (Pepper White, white top this time and an "S" instead of the base Cooper), checked here and my account was still active!
I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I had a 2008 R56 S and gave it up because my significant other couldn't drive a stick and I needed to have a car we could both drive. I now want to get back into it; I just can't decide if I should wait until the next year's models are released or get one now. I don't expect any big changes this year, though it's always possible there will be new colors. This time I'll get an automatic, which I'm hoping will be almost as much fun to drive as a stick...
Had a 2003 Chili Red and white MCS and sold it in 2010. Last year I bought a new one. Now I have basically the same color but with a black roof and of course, this time a Countryman. Congrats!
