Hello from England

Hi everyone,

Im Chris from the UK and have just bought a 2010 R56 cooper S.

So far Im really enjoying the Mini experience. Have had to replace the high pressure fuel pump already but that was a warranty fix thankfully.

Chris

Welcome to the forum. It is great to hear from our members who drive their MINIs in their natural habitat and from the right side of the vehicle the way they were intended.

The black with a little chrome looks great.

By the way, my daughter will be in Bristol and London in July/August for a few weeks before she starts college (University to the rest of the world). If you see a lost 18 year old American, point her in the right direction.

Chris, I love that black/silver combo. Your MINI looks great. I lived in North London in '69 and '70 and it was an unbelievable experience! I still follow/support Tottenham. Welcome to the Forum.

Hi and welcome to Nam, Chris!
Congrats on the clean R56 Mini!
One of my daughters is going there in September. We are English heritage and she is bringing here family ( husband and two grand kids) . They will rent a car and travel all over.
My mum is from Dartford and I spent several summers there, while growing up! My daughter wants her family to experience it too!
I have owned many British autos. 55 Anglia, 67 MGB roadster, 68 safari Land Rover and two Jaguars, to list a few.
Enjoy your R56!
Here is my 06 R53 JCW, which I drive daily:

I have owned many Minis' and still have three.

also from the UK ;O)

if your daughter is over here and touring around then mad things like this are near Snowdonia mountain range which is stunning wherever you go, so well worth investigating, this is Ty Croes in Anglesey, what a location ;O)

if people are near here, or Oulton park in Cheshire, they can hire a helmet and get a passenger Mini experience if I'm there haha.

The plan is for her to stay with her group and not to deviate from the approved schedule. The plan as approved when Dad agreed to finance the adventure, may not be the plan that is ultimately implemented.

Does the iPhone tracking thing work in the UK? Wouldn't it be fun if I were able to coordinate MINIs to track her down and get her back on the plan? Fun for Dad but not so much for her.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone and the kind words. I love me some black and chrome. I originally planned on getting the blackline light surrounds but have decided I like it as is.

The iphone tracker works over here but not sure about when in a different country. Lol

Nice to see the web spokes on another car Wayne. Some nice minis you got there

She is currently missing her nose badge. The original one had no colour left so I replaced it but the replacement vanished after a wash followed by a high speed run to dry off. Lol

Ive also added the red S to the grill. I think it looks good against the black
