Thanks for making me feel so welcome everyone, i'm glad you like my MINI.. Just had those JCW wheels fitted a few weeks ago - I am very pleased with them

I would love to visit the US and go on a US MINI Run - hopefully i'll get a chance to in the not so distant future

 

No doubt wherever you choose to visit you will be able to hook up with fellow MINIacs for a good time! Just remember, we drive on the right here.

 

I'll be in London for a few days in June on my way to Eastern Europe. Used to live in Maidenhead. Great looking car and color choice.

 

Welcome! I lived in southwest england for a while. Cornwall mainly. Looking at the petrol prices in the secong picture, it looks like 97p per liter, yeah? That works out to about $7 US dollars a gallon. Uggh. I thought we had it bad at $3 a gallon! Seems like when I was there (about ten years ago) it was around 50p/liter.

I know Maidenhead, been there a few times .. Cornwall is beautiful - where abouts in Cornwall were you? Did you both get sick of the weather and that's why you headed across the pond?

Honestly it doesn't rain that much here - we've had a hose pipe ban on in Kent since the start of winter because we've hardly had a drop.

I think the 97p was diesel and unleaded was the top figure 94.9p - unleaded is now between 94p & 99p/litre! It's unbelievealbe .. If you want Optimax (98 RON) it's about £1.07/litre! Costs me about $73 to fill up my MINI on standard unleaded!

 

OK, I think we have 3 hellos from Northen California and 3 from Southern California. Are there anymore from Northern California?

Nice MINI, I'd love to see more photos of the front, can't tell if its the angle or if the ONE has a very different bonnet than the Cooper. Love to hear more about life on the other side of the pond. I think there is even a motorer here who lived in the US and moved to the UK, and got to bring their MINI with them.
