Welcome to NAM. Watch the MOD Bug.

Hello!
I purchased my first MINI in May 07. He's a 2002 MCS DS with black top. I love my MINI! I actually bought it without knowing how to drive it. Yep - my first standard vehicle. If it wasn't for the MINI, I would have never learned. Now that I got the hang of it, I wouldn't want it any other way. This is the most fun I've ever had with a car! I did get a bit nervous when our first big West Virginia snow hit this year and my husband slide backwards down our hill in it - but we've since purchased some good winter tires. Away I go!
I just bought an '07 MCS in Lightening Blue!! Merry Xmas to me! Looking forward to learning about all the cool stuff MCS has to offer and how to side step some potential issues. I love this zippy little car
Greetings from Washington State!
I'm in the market to buy a different car and have always liked the MINI. My older sister just picked up her second one and offers very high praise. I figured what better place to absorb more knowledge than the NAM forum.
Thanks for all the posts.

Josh from MI here. I've gotta wait until the 20th of Jan for my Mini to make it up to the Great White North from Nevada.
By the time it gets hear, I'll already have a pile of parts to put on

Soon I'll be in the market for a 2005/06 MCS, so I'll be spending a lot of time here trying to absorb & learn as much as possible from all of you.
I've been a long time Porsche guy, and currently have a '96 993 C4S. I've loved the newer Minis ever since they first came out, but haven't been in a market for a daily driver up until now. I'm still not sure when I'll get one, but it will probably be in the next couple of months. Glad to be a part of this forum.

Hello everyone!!! I do not personally own a MINI as of today...but that is going to change in the next 2-3 weeks...I have been shopping for about 6 months for a MCS, and all the planet$ are almost in line...I have been researching and test-driving, and I am trying to decide between a R53 and a R56...I have been reading this forum, and comparing specs...and Im pretty sure I'll end up with a R56...
My sister is currently driving a Gold 2004 MINI, with the Tan & Black Interior, and CVT Transmission. I got to drive it for a few weeks a while back, and I have got to autocross it quite a few times. I have been autocrossing for almost 4 years, and it's the main reason I have decided on a MINI, so I cant wait to get it out there and dodge some cones!!!

Me Again - this time I have "my wife's" "new" 2007 DS/B Cooper S 6MT with Sport Package, Cold Weather Package, Premium Package, LSD, Sport Suspension and some gorgeous 17" web spoke wheels.
Looks great and rides better - fun without being punishing for long trips (drove it home 540 miles on day one) WOW!

Hi - My name is Paul.
I have an addiction to internal combustion engines.
With the latest addition to the collection, the cylinder count is now up to 75 (83 forward speeds). Not really looking for a 12-step program, but perhaps now you can better understand my userid.
I live in the Pacific Northwet (sic) - an hour or so north of Seattle (if traffic is light), with my bride of >26 years and her zoo of pets that keep her company now that the 4 kids are gone.
I work at place that builds big, fast, noisey machines (most) people like to ride in when they go on vacations to places you can't drive to due to a lack of bridges. My job is to make sure everything works the way it's supposed to before the customer takes it home.
How I ended up with a MINI - I was looking for an economical small car for commuting duty and was thinking of something new or low-mile. I was leaning towards something like a Civic or a Corolla. I was floored by the prices Honda & Toyota were getting. While at a Toyota dealer, I spotted a sweet looking MINI and took it for a test drive. FELL IN LOVE! Not wanting to fall complete victim to motolust, I left. I had been bitten by the MINIbug though. Over the next few days, I looked at several other MINIs in my area that were in my price range and had low enough mileage for me. I ended up back at the Toyota dealer though and took home the first MINI I drove afterall. It's a 2006 Cooper in Solar Red w/Silver roof. I've been lurking since the Dec '07 purchase, but figured it was time to signup and start participating.
Weather here has been pretty gray and wet to get any good pictures of my own, so for now, this pic from the dealership will hafta do:
