New R60 Owner - New Mexico

Hi guys,
I recently purchased a Pure Red 2012 CountrymanS 6MT, and absolutely love it. I replaced a GTI MK6 and have no regrets.
I'm hoping to find useful information on this forum.

Welcome to the forum and to the Countryman owners club! We like pictures too! Glad you are loving it like the rest of us do! Now it’s time to make it your own! That’s what great about these, there are lots of ways to customize it and make it uniquely yours. Even if it’s a few stickers or something. And when you decide it’s feeling a little underpowered, there are folks like Mariokart here who can help make it go!

Welcome to NAM! Quite the change going from a GTI to a Countryman. What are some of the best things you like about the Countryman and what do you miss from the GTI?

Hey there,
Yeah, the GTI was a lighter, so a little faster. But I love how the countryman looks, and how it handles! Very precise.

Nice. I tried to convince my wife to get a Countryman R60. We loved the interior and exterior but she wanted something smaller
My fave design element is the centre rail that goes between the 2 rear seats

Yeah, we have three girls, so I made sure to find one without that center rail! I think it's the perfect size, and rally looks really make the car.
