New here, 2011 Mini Cooper "Justa"

It's actually my fiancee's car but I take care of it for her, and drive it any chance I get. Needs some minor repairs and upgrades, planning on replacing blown speakers and upgrading faded halogen headlights with something bixenon, but otherwise it's a great little car and a real hoot to drive. Looking forward to learning more about it as I fix it up for her and maybe eventually getting myself one as well, or inheriting hers when I am able to buy her a new Countryman.

Hi and welcome to NAM, charles,
Before you take over the justa, you better try an S. Don't get me wrong, the justa is a good car, but an S with a six speed, is something you need to try! It will change you!

When we were shopping for hers I got to drive several S models, all with automatics though since sadly she does not drive manual. Still, they were quite quick once you got past the initial turbo lag. If I ever buy my own just for me it will definitely be a manual, and probably an S although I'm a bit concerned about the timing chain issues I've read about on here. I want to try out the Magnaflow header/cat and a Sprint Booster on this justa first and see what that's like. Of course I will post lots of pics of the process when I do.

My first project will be a front/rear channel swap and speaker upgrade for her base soundsystem, since she's got a blown driver side door speaker. Thanks to everyone here, lots of valuable information and ideas for upgrades and improvements I would not have otherwise thought of.

By the way, here are a few pics.

Welcome, remember when that came out in spice orange, that was the newest orange after the hot orange of the convertible Gen 1 MINI.
Looks clean, just needs a new rear badge.

Thanks! Yeah, she's a looker in that spice orange. I'll be ordering those Spyder projector headlights from y'all in the near future. Do you carry replacement MINI badges? I need the rear replaced as well as one of the center caps.

Thanks! We don't miss the sunroof, never really used them in other cars we've had. I much prefer the lower center of gravity and weight savings, plus it makes doing a custom headliner easier.
