Hello from MO

Hello to all. I picked up an 04 Mini S a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love the car ! I've been driving an 84 F-150 and a 63 Corvair Model 95 for quite a while. so driving something that isn't at least 34 years old is a game changer.
The Mini S has 111k on the odometer but still runs quite well. The previous owner seem to have taken good care of it. I'm fortunate my son is an SAE Tech. so he could give me some guidance with the 'modern' stuff on the mini. I'm great with old V-8's and naturally aspirated engines but the Mini will be a learning curve for a bit.
The threads I've read so far have been quite informative and I'm looking forward to learning more as I go along.

So, your thread title says you're in Missouri. You will certainly want to look into MITO (MINIs in the Ozarks) held down in Eureka Springs. It's a fantastic event, 200+ cars usually show up and there are 20 some day trips to choose from and a fun Halloween party Saturday night. Just the event to really get acquainted with your new ride. Welcome to the world of MINI motoring.

We're going to try to make it down again this year. Last 2 years had some conflicts but so far...If you've never been there, it's an interesting little village worth exploring. You definitely want to do breakfast at the Mud Street Cafe.

Welcome to NAM. Any pictures?

Oh the old days of the engine bay being 5 times the size of the motor instead of the MINI where the motor is the engine bay.
