Thanks! I hope to to see your your guys' Mini soon...maybe you can be my official first mini wave

Welcome to NAM and your new MINI. Sounds delightful, so pictures will be posted right after delivery? Right?
You did 275K on a series 7, can you explain that a little more? I wonder if the new R56 will go 275K, heck I'm not sure I will even last that long.

Sure I have and soon to get rid of
7 series. It's a 1989 735iL Grey with black leather interior. 3.5 litre 6 cylinder. These were some of the last cars that bmw hand built completely, you can totally tell the quality of the car. It has some really nice features: The back seats recline electronically and the head rests go up and down in the rear. Everything in the car is power from the moonroof to to all the windows. The engine is still going strong, but there is some front end looseness. Since purchasing the car in 1997 I've done all the routine maintenance and oil changes about every 5k. I just didnt drive it very hard, only on occasion when on the freeway
I think BMW should give me a new car
yeah right..maybe if i get it to a million miles
The original post was a few years back.
Moderators, I think the layout of the site contributes to posting to old messages in error and posting to old messages thinking they are new.
It would be great if the forum listed the original post date in addition to the most recent post date. This post will be on the top of the list as others respond thinking it is new.
Also, I have found that when viewing the site on my phone, it is easy to skip from a recent post you intended to read to an old post with a similar title. It is too easy to post your intended response to the first message on the older post. (I got chewed out by a fellow member thinking I was a troll for posting a comment to an old message that did not match the content of the original post.
Just thoughts for improvement.

..and then when the Duburter Valve pops into place, you know that your transit thrust washer is positioned and ONLY then is it safe to tighten the neoprene lattice lock by arbitrary torque methods.
Oh! Sorry... just getting my Troll on.
Motor On!
