Hey Miniacs! newb in Philly looking to learn the ropes

Hey everyone new to philly just purchased a mini with a busted clutch for the low low after getting a quote I think I'm gonna tackle this myself as the repair would cost far more than I paid for the car. It's an 03 cooper s. Look forward to getting to know you guys&gals!

Welcome to NAM.

If you have not already done so, suggest you check out the Gen1 Stock Problems/Issues area for info on clutches. Might be able to also pick up some info in the Mod section as well. The tricky part is the rear seal.

I don't have a service manual just loads and loads of diys Related to the clutch I've been searching for and saving. This is my 2nd r53 I had a jcw one 4 years ago a week after purchase a truck ran a red and crushed it.

Any diys related to clutch change you find particularly helpful?

I'm going single mass valeo I'm sure the OG dual mass is still in there

. The tabs that are at the back of the sliding glass broke right on the sliding /tilt arm. Wonder if it can be welded rather than buy another glass

Congrats on your new MINI. Living in philly you should look up the good folks at Helix. They really know these cars & are honest hard working folks.

Wow, interior madness! Not sure if you can weld the bracket, but I would try!
Keep on going!
