Hello! Glad to be part of this community, as I own 2 Minis (2003 S and 2003 R50). Been reading a lot of your treads and looking at some of your cars... You guys are awesome!

Welcome to NAM, a true MINI enthusiast! How long have you had them and how many miles? Would love to hear your thoughts of the advantages or disadvantages you have found between the standard and S models.

Dear amigos at Mini Mania:
Bought the R50 in January, the R53 on May for my son Diego. The R50 came with 81600 miles only, and in a very nice British Racing Green color. The R53 came with 114,000 and is a nice Indy Blue on the skin... And well, these cars are definitely not the same. The R50 is slower in acceleration as the ponyes are less under the bonnet. But is really good for driving in the city and never disappoint. The 5 speed shifter acts very nicely. Mine has the big speedometer on the middle of the dash and the seats are cloth. Just upgraded the exhaust with a Quicksilver assembly that I found in Florida at a great price. Sound is terrific! On the other hand, the R53 has all of the bells and whistles: Leather interiors, nav, Harmann Kardon sound, Alta Performance Air Intake Assembly and that supercharger that whines like a horse that is desperate to go faster than the wind... Great cars, both of them! I just aim to keep them running for a long time and enjoy every mile at the wheel... Thanks!

Great to hear that you also own 2 Minis... Going to install the aero bumper on my R50 next week (if I get it delivered). Wanted the GP set up, but is very expensive for me. Gonna have to save some money to get it in the next months...

BRG with white is a classic combo, looks like you have a Go MINI Go front plate holder.

And the two tone cloth seats, dont see those often.
