Loved my R52 so much I bought a F56 to go with it.

My wife and I bought a BRG R52 a month ago. It's been so much fun that I just didn't enjoy driving my Optima SXL to work anymore. Decided to fix that problem by getting a 2015 Cooper 2 2-door for me.

There's not much to do to this one...just some window tint and a hardwiring of the radar detector. So, so happy.

How can I not enjoy?

It's funny...the 2.0L I've got in the F56 is fantastic but there's just something about the R52's supercharged motor that's so fun. I'm just going to enjoy them both.

I agree, there is definitely something about a supercharged motor vs. a turbocharged motor. I'd say it has to do with the linear power band in my opinion.

Agreed. And that supercharger whine is sweet too.

I guess I could let him drive the hardtop in nine years...it'll be the same age the convertible is now and that thing is still rocking.

I'm loving the R53. Based on the threads here, when he goes in for rust treatment, I'll be getting a loaner. We'll see what happens then. I better leave my wallet at home.

That'd be the safe thing to do. I know I bought a S but I'd be lying if I didn't find the 3 cylinder in the Cooper to be quite impressive. If there had been a Cooper with 16" wheels and the H/K system, I would have considered it.

That being said, I love my S.
