I just returned from the dealer after having the passenger side airbag sensor replaced, and the light didn't go off. The tech said that I had fault code for a battery safety terminal open circuit. They said it would cost 2000 dollars to replace. Does anyone know if the airbags will deploy in an accident?
I had the same thing, the light didn't go off, very disappointed. He said it was another sensor or something. Probably $1,000 or so, but he wasn't sure about the whole thing. I called Mini USA and they said it could be a faulty indicator.
Those have the seat OCC sensor recalled, check that first. Most people had the light go off with the recall. Sounds like with this fix other things are popping up. The light in the overhead is what they are pointing to or the battery safety terminal.
I had the seat sensor replaced, still have airbag light on. what is the light in the overhead and the battery safety terminal? How do I check/fix those?
