So after forever searching for a MINI to fall in love with I finally found mine.
I purchased a 2008 R56 S in Pure Silver.
The three packages that I felt confident enough to say that I have for certain are:
Cold Weather
Harman Kardon Audio (Unfortunately)
and Sport.
I love the car to death however, two weeks in the clutch already needed replacement as well as the front brakes and rotors. Previous owner mustve had a little too much fun but oh well. Still love the car. Can't wait to have her back at the end of this week.
Not sure why you said, "Unfortunately." I have it in my 2013 MCS: No problems, sounds great -- with a good audio source, like a decent CD or a flash drive with high-bitrate MP3s. Sirus/XM, for example, is not a good audio source; AM-HD and FM usually sound better.
I guess the reason we really assumed everything was okay was the fact that this car hasnt hit 30k miles yet.
Clutch and front brakes blown in only 30K? The previous owner was in way over his or her (I'd express a view point at this juncture but old age schools me not to) head in the operation of this type of automobile. They would be happier and more forgiven with a Honda appliance.
Some simple rules to get the maximum enjoyment from a clutch:
1. Unless shifting, keep you foot off the pedal.
2. When at a stop, shift to neutral and get your foot off the clutch.
3. When shifting crush the pedal clear to the floor...EVERY time.
The brakes had to have been worn that badly from habitually riding them like folks with automatic gear boxes do when they see something that puzzles them.
Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out the your new to you motor.

Welcome to NAM! I sure do love that color. I'm a fan of silver though so maybe I am biased. That's some very low mileage. If you need any help or have any questions about your new-to-you MINI please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck with the repairs and hope you enjoy!

Correct me if Im wrong but the HK system in the 2010+ MINI is way better than the HK in the 2007+. And thanks for the advice guys! Really looking forward to having the car back. During the two weeks I had it I have already fallen in love.
The Hifi system was from 2007-9/2009, then the HK ( Harmon / Kardon ) factory system came in after that. The HK system sound much better then the HiFi , some people just replace the speakers from the Hifi option with HK and call it a day.

You can actually do that? I wanted to upgrade my speakers but most of the threads I read told me I couldn't upgrade them because of the factory amp.
Go under a 2011 MINI Cooper S and order the H/K speakers or copy and paste the 11 digit MINI part number from the thread and paste to our site search box.

Update: Got the car back yesterday afternoon and wow what a difference. The clutch feels so much lighter. I didnt think anything was wrong because i was used to a heavy clutch on my previous manual car.
