2014 Paceman Roof Rail Installation

I am taking delivery of a 2014 JCW Paceman this week. I would like the roof rails added (outside 2 only) however the tech is telling me there is no installation template and the headliner must be dropped for installation?? Please comment if you have learned answers. "I don't know" or "I am not sure" won't help me. Thanks for your time, Motor On!

Well I can tell you that is added they will have to drill and bolt it on. Also looks to be different colors available. You are doing this to add the base bars roof rack ?

Which you would have to take the headliner out. Have not heard of anyone adding rails. Most are just ordered that way, if they want it. Were you not able to order it or did you buy your MINI off the lot. Thanks

Bought the JCW Paceman from a Rhode Island dealer new through my dealer in Knoxville. I simply like the look of the rails, I think they compliment the Panoramic Sun Roof. I don't intend to use the rails, just decoration. Thanks for your response.

How about a line on the Chili Red trim pieces on the door panels, dash and console (6 pieces I think)? The dealer tells me that they are available as complete panels which I sincerely doubt!!

You should have the chili red plastic trim panels already with the JCW Paceman , unless something was ordered different ?

Thanks

Mine is all carbon black, the trim is either a yes or no at original order and in my cars case it was a "NO" order. Of course I would prefer the red and need to find out how to order the 6 trim pieces separately.

Ah makes sense now . Guess what you can get the #2 , #3 and #4 now. These were not available a couple months ago. Currently they will have to come from Germany. These are for people that already have a trim piece already there, like black , dark anthracite... etc. Think this will not work with the blank piece dashes ( just an indentation and no mount )( on others without that option ) .

Countryman and Paceman.

#4 Chili red part # 51459809567

These center pieces have been out for a bit. Fits Countryman and Paceman models.

#16 JCW version

It looks like you have to get the whole door card on the Paceman. #1.

Also there is a split year in 9/2013 and I will have to have your last 7 digits of your Vin, to tell what option you have , color line, checked, etc . Looks like a bunch of options. Or a pic.

Thanks

Just bumping this thread for anyone else looking to add roof rails. I did it last night and wasn't really all that difficult. I used the installation guide for the F56 retrofit kit as a template since it was basically the same setup. I didn't have a drill guide though so I just installed the "alignment element" and used that as a guide. The holes in the roof structure are clearly defined and there is no interference from the air bag system. The biggest issue was working around the headliner since I couldn't remove it from the car.

This is really good to hear. I just purchased a 2013 Paceman S and it doesn't have any rails. I need to mount a roof rack to the top, and would love to get the OEM rails bolted on somehow. Any other tips you might have? Should I just order the parts and go for it?

Hello,

You can just add the part number to cart, then your zip and it will calculate the shipping. What rail color are you looking at, silver, gray, or black?

Thanks
Mike
