I have finally moved out of SUV Purgatory! A few weeks ago I bought my first Mini. An '02 R50.

Turlock! My wife bought her Silk Green '03 R50 used from Cederlind Auto there via Autotrader.com. She and my son flew down there, picked it up and drove all the way to San Diego to see her sister before driving it back to Seattle. I joined them in L.A. on the way back so I missed out on seeing Turlock.

Nice looking MINI and congrats on picking up a good used R50. With the F models just coming out many people are starting to realize that the R50 is really the closest thing to what a true "MINI" should be. I predict prices will start rising, so hold on to it and enjoy the ride.

Thanks all. Yes Val. I really do like the R50 styling the best. I'd like to "retro" it as much as possible, hence the red mirror covers, reproduction Cooper logo on the back and red scuttles (so as not to stand out). At some point this summer, I'm probably going to remove the factory spoiler, patch the holes and paint the roof red too.
