New to the club(man)!
Hello all!
I'm the proud new owner of a 2008 Clubman S in Pepper White, auto, with 60k. It's been a Florida car its whole life thankfully, and aside from a few paint dings (which I'll fill in promptly) it's in very good shape.
I'm new to MINIs but not BMWs, my last car was a '95 525i with 262,000 miles. Needless to say, it was about time to get something newer.
I'm excited to move forward with my new ride, even though I am being told by everyone that maintenance is expensive... I knew that getting into it, though. I plan on keeping up on all the preventative maintenance, especially transmission flushes. I am told that these transmissions are rather expensive.
Anyway, here she is! I'd like to take better pics when the weekend comes.

Welcome to NAM, samteezy and congrats on your new MINI. It looks fantastic.
No apologies necessary regarding your pic, I'm just happy to see one. I have a saying, "No pics, no proof." Happy motoring and please don't forget to promote the MINI wave.
Is that the "L" sign to VTEC drivers?

J/K. I know that MINI people have to be nicer. I'm not a Bimmer ***** anymore... am I?
Thanks, I plan on it!

Quick question - I want to do the Seafoam treatment to this car in the next couple days. However, since I have an automatic, I'm not sure of the best policy regarding revving the engine in park, as I've heard with other cars this would damage the transmission. I think my best option would be to go into manual mode and drive around in 1st or second around 2000 rpm until the smoke clears.
Or, would it make sense to put it in neutral, chock the wheels and apply the parking brake, and rev accordingly. Which is safer?

No, samteezy. It's a little bit friendlier that that.
