I'm so confused... the MINI owner's lounge tracker states my convertible S is "en route"... yet when I plug her vin into the WW tracker (she'll be going to the Georgia VDC), I get nothing.
I'm hoping she's on the Don Juan and will be heading into Georgia early next week???

Congratulations! We will keep you company as you go through the process.

I was curious so I google mapped a satellite view of the Baltimore MINI VDC.
I found the building where they give your MINI it's burn-out lesson.
I could not copy the picture but have included the coordinates for the location.

Zoom in and note 3 bays and lots of tire rubber laid down.
I always wondered how they removed the little rubber nubbies from the front tires.
I am checking for the Brunswick burn-out area next.

The driving lights are in my little sig pic...if you can see them. I can just barely, but I know that they are there
I also got the short antenna and mud flaps, but the hubby is going to put those on to save a bit of money.
My MA said the VDC installation charge is cheaper than the dealership, and they do an excellent job. I was a bit confused by that as well, but apparently it's pretty common. MINI should mention that on the build pages though. I guess I can say they are factory all the way
I'm having custom stripes, tinting, and maybe paint protection put on in Memphis before driving it home to Missouri. I can't wait!

I can't wait!Modern paints (as on your MINI) are much improved over the old lacquers and enamels of the past, and if you take reasonable care of your MINI's finish (wax it twice a year, wash it weekly) it will still look fine in 10 years.
Save yourself a few $ hundred and skip the paint protection/sealant or fabric protection packages if offered by your dealer. It's one of the biggest scams (and largest profit margins for any dealer) out there, and you won't find a single outside organization that will validate that it offers any more protection than ordinary car wax.

Don Juan underway again
Just left Halifax headed to NYC - one step closer for those of us with cars on that boat! Still hoping against hope we can take delivery this Saturday, or else it'll be a whole 'nother week - dealer's too far for the weekdays. Don't want my wife's new toy out in the elements for that long!
My wife did not have pictures when she tried the VIN decoder on her iPad, but did on her laptop.
You might try a different explorer.
My $0.02
You gotta have pic 's

Grats on the new ride.
Nope, tried multiple computers and I can see pics of another car when I mistype the vin. *shrug*

Managed to get this screen shot of the Don Juan leaving the harbor.

Oops, too late, it only took you a week to find this thread.....

BTW. K-line has no VIN lookup. You just have to trust your salesguy that it's really on there.
There are a few other carriers used but looks like WW and Kline are the most common.
