Loving my 118hp car....

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say hello to the community. I've lurking on this forum for quite a while actually. Especially, in the detailing section. I finally signed up right when I made up my mind on getting a Mini Cooper. I was never a really horsepower freak so the non S was perfect for me. Don't get me wrong. I love fast cars. But I know that a good driver's car doesn't need horsepower to be fun.

A little bit on my car history I guess...
01 Eclipse V6 <---first car and got rid of it right before the fast & furious..LOL
92 240sx coupe...also got rid of it for top dollar during the Initial D craze
93 MR2 NA...one of the best cars ever....don't argue with me
01 S2000...another one of the best cars ever
02 Protege LX...needed a commuter...ended up putting a bunch of mazdaspeed parts to make it not boring

also used to ride a Ninja650R, CBR600rr, and GSXR600...no one will ever convince me that Honda doesnt make the best bikes.....I still havent ridden an Italian bike though

and now...

Glad to be a new Mini owner

like my story?...I know...it's a cool story

Nat A.

Welcome aboard! I used to ride a CBR600 F4 (and a slower Kawasaki ZR550 before that.) and I had the pleasure of driving an S2000 (although the AP2.) a little, and will agree with you that Honda knows how to make a fun toy when they want to!

I gotta say, I drive a basic Clubman... (non S).. if the sales man held a gun to my head and said YOU HAVE TO BUY A NON SUNROOF AND TAKE A NON TURBO.. I'd buy.. it - car was that fun to drive! I did go for the Turbo in the end.. but after living life with a fun 115 HP car (A 1995 VW Golf GTI).. I can say 115 goes a long way in a small fun car.. enjoy!
