Hey everybody -
Ordered a '13 MCS Hardtop Reef Blue a few weeks ago and it has finally gone into production. The 3 week wait has been agonizing so far and I don't know how am going to deal with another 4-5 weeks likely. I will surely be doing some reading here, which will hopefully make this waiting feel shorter than it actually is. Can’t wait to take delivery!

Congrats and Welcome aboard. The wait will kill you, so spend a lot of time here searching and reading all you can about your new MINI. You are now a MINIac. Most importantly remember to wave.

Welcome to the wait! I ordered mine (see sig) on March 29, learned yesterday, 4/17, that it was finished and waiting to be transported to the port. It's kind of like being a kid counting down the days to Christmas, without knowing exactly when Christmas is.

I was talking to a coworker who ordered (and just received) her MINI largely based on my ranting about how much I love my two ive had so far. She said the wait was agony ( even though I was the one tracking her ship) and I pointed out that I suspect config and waiting and tracking and waiting and finally picking up the car you spec'd really adds to the sentimental connection we have for these cars ( even those who bought off the lot feel that way I know)
She admitted if was an entirely more intimate process than off the lit vws and audis of her past.

Imagine if we cod pick them up at the factory like BMW! I'd absolutely do it.

Sounds like we're on almost exactly the same schedule (ordered Mar. 26 and got my VIN on Apr. 17). PM me the last five digits of your VIN if you want to see exactly how close ours are on the line!

Just learned that mine is on the Asian Emperor and due to arrive in NYC on 5/2/13. It's starting to feel real now!
