I am from the UK and have just ended up buying a MY04 Mini Cooper S R53 in BRG. Not sure what options it has fitted, because this is my first New Gen Mini. But I will have a good look through the paperwork once I have picked up the car.

• Premium Package - includes automatic climate control, cruise control, steering-wheel radio controls.
• Sports Package - includes thicker anti-sway bars larger tires, front fog lights
• Convenience Package - includes a universal garage door opener, automatic day/night rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers.
• Cold Weather Package - includes heated front seats, heated washer jets and heated mirrors.
• Audio Package - includes an upgraded Harman Kardon sound system

I am sure there are some more that were available thats others may add to this.

 

Hi thanks for that I know I have a couple of those items, so may have one of the packages I guess. I have the following from memory on the test drive

Cruise Control, steering wheel radio controls, fog lights

Not sure of anything else,

I noticed that the tyres were 205 wide and run flats according to the sales guy.

Cool, I can't wait to see another one. They all seem to have their own little differences, I've really got the Mini itch going on.

 

UK Packages are somewhat different than the US Spec. Also, they call them by different names. So some of these won't totally match up.

 

Well I collected her today at 5.30pm and apart from stopping for something to eat, I have just come back home. Car is great, smooth power delivery and quiet thanks to the new genuine exhaust that the car dealer fitted due to the original one being corroded. Shame though as I may have to leave it alone for a while now before replacing with something else

The only downside is what I hope will be the Run Flat Tyres? Massive tramlining around here (Country roads), and the slightest pot hole and the car bangs over the bumps. Any other type of road surface and she drives great so must be tyres or worn suspension I guess.

Anyway pictures tomorrow and then we can see what options I have with some input from you guys.

Very nice looking MINI! I looked at the first picture and thought is was black, then looked at the others and saw that it was BRG! Or maybe I'm just confused! LOL! Run flat tires (or tyres as you say on the other side of the pond) make for a harsh ride, but also enables you to corner like the car is on rails. Have fun and watch out for those pot holes!

Yes it does handle well, but definately harsh. Well I have no urge to change the tyres just yet as I need to save some coin so that I can buy some replacements any way, lol.
