Alas, I have 8 weeks before my (first) mini gets here. Where can I find things like who built this engine (turbo) and tranny. I've been thru the forums but haven't found a link yet to an off site list of the suppliers to the mini.

Do I really have to wait 8 weeks? It's killing me.

 

Welcome aboard. Yes you might wait 8 weeks. Post some pics when you get it. Good luck. Also your MINI engine was developed jointly by BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroën.

 

A surprising amount of that time is shipping. My car was built in early September but didn't get to my dealer until late October. On the other hand, mine spent two more weeks at sea than yours will since my POE was Port Hueneme.

Yes, the wait is excruciating.

 

Thanks for the info, I'm sure I'll get up to speed quickly but jumping into the deep end seems the best way for trying to learn so much about this car!
