I seem to have this crazy thing about changing hobbies. I was into riding bikes before this and really enjoyed it but like everyone tells you "those are dangerous" including my family. So every time I would jump on the bike for a nice ride I would have these annoying little voices in the back of my mind screwing up my ride.

I guess they won because I traded in the bike and bought an 05 MCS Convertible. I grew up with Mini's in Europe and was surprised that they were not available here in the late 1970's. So bike gone mini in the garage and everyone is happy.

Now another chapter in my life begins, modding the mini (totally stock), meeting new people and going out for drives to different areas around CO and the Tri State area.

I like to post things up but mostly voice an opinion in somebodies else's post. Been around a lot of different forums and enjoy the different minds that speak out. So having said that we are going to drop the top pull the rear seats down, help the dogs in and take a ride to Boulder just because.

Welcome and I'm sure you will enjoy your new Mini. I come from a bike background and my Mini with its supercharger whine and slick little six speed is pure smile producing fun!

 

Welcome, I got out of sportbikes after too many near misses and find the MINI nearly as exciting, even my little Justa.

 

I sold my last bike right before I bought my MINI and I never looked back. I'm having too much fun driving my MINI around and it is kind of nice being able to talk to hubby when we are out exploring. Welcome from another newbie.

I guess life is all about changes. I still have my old gertrude but she stays in the shed mostly cause the other half thinks I should be doing other chores around the house. The first pic is in the late 70's or early 80's I think, party on the MS river, the old flathead beside it is an old friends I use to run with, still hear from him every once in a while but his health issues are keeping him down, the other pic is mid to late 80's, fresh paint and rebuild from havin to much fun in the earlier days Still waiting on new mini convertable to kinda get back in the wind. Hope to have it before the end of the year.
