New MINI Countryman S Owner

Hello,

I'm the proud owner of the first 2013 Mini Countryman S in Minnesota xD I have lurked on this site off and on and now that I am actually an owner I thought I'd register and enjoy the comradeship.

Loving it!

I love it. I originally wanted a MINI Cooper S but then I had 2 kids 13 months apart so I "settled" on the Countryman lol. I was driving a 1990 Buick LeSabre so this is a giant step up.

Not yet. That might be something I look into after New Years when things settle down a little.

A "giant step" for sure (excuse the parse)! We had a '92 LeSabre for years and I still remember trying to negotiate sharp curves...walrus comes to mind...

Not going to miss the buick though I might whip it out if there is a bad snow storm and I don't feel like risking the MINI. Those buicks are heavy as #$%@. Anyone know of any good motoring roads in Minnesota? The only one that seemed really cool was State Road 61 up to Thunder Bay in Canada.

Any interior pics? I'm curious about the updated changes they made for 2013.

Absolutely beautiful! It is like the negative image of my 12. My husband tried to get me to wait for that color scheme because I love it, but I'm glad I got what I got.

It's like I told him, I'd pretty much be thrilled if I had been given any color. It's the car I adore.

Welcome from another n00b!!!

Cool. My Countryman with leatherette seats is on the boat, I'm hoping to get it by end of December. It will be great if it has adjustable lumbar support, I didn't expect that.

Thanks for posting these pics!

Puppet,

I know that there is a very active MINI club in Minneapolis. Something to consider as they do runs and when a MINI run happens it is not on mundane boring roads but ones with lots of twisties. Congrats on your new CM. We've had ours for over a year and would not give it up for anything.

Congrats! It's nice to see new involved Countrymen owners. Join a club! It's a great way to meet new Mini drivers and have some good family fun. It's also the best way to find the twistiest roads.
