Howdy,

My interest is in the Mini Cooper Roadster. This looks like the right place to start. I have been looking at the roadster but there is only one dealer in my city.
The 13s have not arrived and there is only one base model roadster left here, a 6 speed, Chili Red with only a $500.00 discount.
"I prefer a 2013 JCW Roaster."

Should I wait or buy the 2012 base model? They are sticky on the prices but I have time on my side.

One thing that is being offered by the Mini Finance is the 0.9% up to 36 months on the 2012s.

Any good advice would be great to read'.

A future Mini Cooper Roadster owner.

Where in the south? Southern dealers are able to grab units from dealers up north so if you are really serious, one might be found for you. Unlikely that you'll be able to find a JCW roadster anywhere, but stranger things have happened. Dealer where I got mine (Ferman in Palm Harbor, FL) has a beautiful 2012 JCW that they are bringing around to shows. Might be available, let me know if you want their number.

Hi Rev. Yes, I'm serious. I live in the panhandle. There is nothing left on the lot for roadsters. I just drove over to the dealer today.
I will be waiting and looking as I have plenty of time to search for what I want.

I did get to see two roadsters in the wild the latest was today. I got to talk to one of the owners. I will post a picture of that car on the roadster forum.

Hope to be a full fledged member soon.

TY! for your reply and hope I can be a help to all.

Wait and get what you really want !!

Point taken, and words of wisdom will only make me wiser. The thing is, first drive and I'm hooked. "maybe" Meaning I drove a Mini. Like the song, "First cut is the deepest."

I will hook up and that is a promise I make to myself. I'm not sure yet about the JCW or the S, but I will choose one or the other. "I think, LoL!"
You asked why a base roadster, price is a consideration and I'm going to save as much as I can.

There is 1 2013 (I think) Red JCW Roadster New here in OKC, and 1 012 White JCW used w/low miles..... Ilike the white with the black wheels, would like to see a red with black wheels, but all I have seen on those thus far is silver

Good to know Fred. I'm holding out to see what will show up in my area.

Peace.

Call John C. Or Sam H. to see if that JCW is/will be available to buy. It's priced just under $40K. But if it gets used for test drives and such the price will drop some, I'm sure.

Oh, and IMHO, it's a real beauty!
