Yup - IIRC, that came from an old race engine builder.

Production completed!

Unfortunately I'm a west coaster so maybe I'll see it in another couple months?

You know, high speeds like the one you're not suppose to exceed during break-in do not seem so fast to me anymore. Not sure if it's the JCW because it cruises past 80 mph so easily and smoothly. Or maybe it's the seven years I spent driving the German Autobahns at speeds in excess of 140 mph at times. But I feel very much in control of the car at those speeds we're not supposed to talk about here on the board.

Coffee. Check. Fidelio, nearing the Sargasso Sea in the mid Atlantic. I think her engine is broken in, so I want to tell the captain 16.2 NMH is not cutting it. Wide open throttle is acceptable.

And yes, the super long 22 day boat ride to the west coast sucks. The one I don't get is the stop in San Diego. Extra sucks because then the Fidelio lands at Port Hueneme Friday. Another 2 days lost to the weekend, since near as I can tell the VDC closes Saturday and Sunday. Slackers.

So far planed mods are limited to: Cravenspeed Platypus front plate mount. (please, please SF MINI do not drill holes in the front bumper). Wet Okole seat covers. Black with Red inserts or black with red piping? Opinions anyone?

Stubby antenna. ALTA or Cravenspeed? I do not like the RC like stock antenna but I do listen to the radio a lot. Today will be spent researching signal loss. I hear the stock antenna is the best.

Car Wax! Zaino? Zymol? I need to see what shape my car supplies are in.

At some point I should work. But it's Friday so meh... this seems much more important.

I received my Vehicle Inquiry Report last week, it looks like it may be scheduled for week 33. Anyone else waiting for theirs to be built the same week?

jealous of the ones who have theirs on a a boat already!

Finally we picked ours up!
Sorry for the crappy phone picks (I've got to stop using the phone camera... convenience over quality doesn't yield great results :( )

It's so addictive we put 320 miles on it this past Sunday

I still have to mount some of the exterior chrome piece I got before the car had arrived, and I will probably get a set of 17" wheels for the summer... or what's left of it :p

The pickup was a bit painful though . . . 3.5 hours at the mini dealer . But we have the car and it drives awesome!

Grats on the car, it looks great! 3.5 hours to pick it up sounds brutal, what happened? I was out in 40 minutes.

Very nice TG. I especially love the steering wheel. Finishes off the interior nicely.

Took me 2 hours at the dealer, so yeah, 3.5 sounds killer. Love the way the interior turned out.
