"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
You guys crack me up!
Haven't been asked to upgrade my dipstick yet...so I'll hold on tight to what I have for now.
Forgot to post that I was given the 'survey' speech when I pick up this weekend...I was pretty disheartened. Don't guilt trip me into giving you 10's because it affects your bonus. There needs to be a better way to express the importance of the survey without making the customer feel guilty.

But that survey speech is and was horrible how they approached me on mine... How can one give a honest opinion when they put you under the guilt trip like that.. I was completely shocked how they approached me on it.. Not just my MA but others there as well... Those surveys have to mean a lot to them..seriously though they need to work at there approach better..or not even mention anything about it... You wouldn't believe how bad they were on this survey
My MA was great so it's sad to say how inappropriate it was; he's supposed to call tomorrow to follow up on how things are going and if I have any questions so I may bring it up...not sure yet because that could get really awkward.
Well Im glad to hear you had a good MA.. Im not saying my MA was bad but I had some concerns that I brought to there attention.. Once the word got out I had concerns I was approached from a number of sales people on how important the survey was... They are trying to make it right for me now..but where were they in the beginning..lol...
I remember a few of you saying here that you were going to install a Craven dipstick on your 2013 MINI. I tried installing mine this morning and discovered the **** may not be the right size for the dipstick tube in my JCW - it fits very loosely and rattles around. The O-ring is a little bit loose too. The diameter of the **** is far enough off that it makes me wonder if MINI recently started using a tube with a different diameter. (Maybe we got the 2014 tubes from the F56 by mistake, and my spy-shot video of the '14 dipstick tube will make it on all the car blogs!)
Sorry, back to reality: I sent Craven a quick video, and they said the fit should be tight - so I'm returning the first one and they're sending me a new one. So, be sure to check the fit on yours before you motor down the road, or your expensive MINI synthetic oil soon could be protecting the outside of your new engine!
BTW, the folks at Craven were quick, efficient and all the other things a good company should be. i also bought the Craven FlexPod Fixie Mount for my iPhone, and it installed easily and works great.

Mine isn't as tight as the stock unit, but fits fine and doesn't wiggle at all. Mine isn't a JCW though, just an S.
It goes in much easier than the stock stick, but not sure I like how limp it is. You have to pull it up and dangle it to read it. You cannot just turn it on its side like the rigid ones, but it is readable.

(Approximately 125 miles) Ok, ok, you win!

400 divided by 9 = 44.44.
Close competition ! Of course, I haven't driven mine in two days so you are probably ahead now.

You a fan of The Office, 01 ?
ha... LOVE that show and that line was repeated about 800 times in the 8 years the show ran and it was hilarious every time.
The show was pretty good... lots of hot MINIs there. Was surprised by the number of JCWs that were there. Lots of "interesting" mods to see too.
Food was really good also. Overall, not as many people/MINIs showed up as they (or I) was expecting. Maybe 40 of them.

First time I heard it, I was like... was that a pop ? Turned the HK down. Rolled the window down, decelerated. Yep... POP POP. Turned into my work parking lot. Turned the HK off. Opened the door. Put it in neutral. Hit the gas hard and let off... POP POP POP.

Enough detail ??

Oh yeahhhhhhhh... the loaner "S" I had last year popped a good big and I loved it. Glad to have it back on a permanent basis now !
I read a thread a few months ago and there are actually some people who don't like it... one even was embarrassed by it. WTH ?!?!

Here's a Q for you CR since you have the same interior as me. What color interior lights do you use? I use the blue. For some reason it looks really good against the CR accents. I'm guessing due to your age and conservatism that you just match with orange :P

Actually, I do like to keep things to the three colors... white, red, black. So the lights are set to red and they look darn good !
Will have to try your choice of blue for a while and see if I like it.
