Hey random question for you guys. How long do the cars sit at the south hampton port for? I've been checking the hotline and it keeps saying that my car is awaiting a vessel and this has been going on for at least a week? I'm also not getting anything when i input my vin in the cargo lookup on WW.

 

Depends on where your destination port is.

Mine was at port for five days before boarding en route to Baltimore.

 

IMO way to damn long!!!! To me there should be no reason for them to sit as long as they do now! Im hopping my gets loaded this week though.. My MA thinks it will get loaded this week...we shall see about this ha ha

 

All about timing. Look up and see when the next ship leaves for your port of entry.

If you're not getting any response from WW, either you're not booked yet or you're on another carrier. And you can ignore the automated line - It still says mine is awaiting shipment from Southampton, 10 days after it got to Baltimore.

SuperGreg: i think the Parsifal is the next boat out of South Hampton. Im just not sure if it made it on the california highway boat. Either way im stoked that its almost here.

 

The Endurance was originally scheduled to arrive today. It's been delayed two days now at sea...

 

Ask MINI has been saying mine is waiting for a carrier since last Monday.

So I emailed my MA today and he said it is being loaded on a ship. That must be the Don Juan then but it's still not showing up on WW website though.

If it does get on the Don Juan it arrives in Brunswick on 7/1. Fingers crossed

 

Im waiting to see if I get on the Parsifal.. It should be pulling into Southampton port sometime today.. I hope I get on this one..

 

That's good news!! At the rate these MINIs leave the port we might just be sailing together.. But I do hope I make it on the Parsifal.. That arrives in port today..

Does the Endurance make any other stops before it hits your port?

 

I fully suspect mine won't arrive in Southampton to make a ship this week. I'm going to catch the Integrity make a 22-day voyage around the world before it pulls into Baltimore. My MA said not to worry, those estimated trip days are often changed once a shop departs the port.

Customs is a tricky animal. I believe that in cases like this, certain cargo IDs are flagged before arrival as going through a manual customs process, whereas the rest are approved automatically.

It's like spot-checking.
