Ironically there is a tug boat near Baltimore also named Honor.
Honor
I think all of us that are on the Honor are noticing the same thing. Honor seems to have disappeared since yesterday
It seems to have updated somewhat on Marinetraffic but when you click "show on map" you get open water. If you zoom, the map it takes you to where I believe the ship should be at this point. Let us keep our fingers crossed that she shows up soon

Also I found it helps to start the live trace fresh each time. Om, Om, Om, whilst seated in the Lotus position seems to help... until your hip starts giving you gyp!
Those of you on the Honor - take a deep breath. To start W&W is not showing a delay in Honor's arrival yet.
As for the lack of updates - here's what you need to understand
AIS (used by marinetraffic.com) is a relatively short range system. When the ship is in range it provides frequent and fairly accurate position reports. However it only works out to between 75 and 100 miles offshore at most. If I remember correctly use of AIS is now mandatory per International Maritime Law.
Sailwx.info does have global reach - however the updates it provides are dependent on the ship transmitting their position and weather observations via satellite. Sending these weather observations are strictly voluntary, and there is no requirement for how frequently a ship should transmit them. Some ships do it every 6 hours, some every 12, some once a day, and others don't do it at all.
A ship not appearing on either site doesn't mean much more than they are too far offshore for an AIS signal to get picked up from a shore station and aren't sending weather observations...
As much as I want my MINI - I'd much rather it be delayed because the ship was waiting for weather conditions to improve, then have the Captain decide to come up Chesapeake Bay in questionable conditions and end up on a rock or something...

How were you able to confirm that Aida was delayed and that it is due to weather? I'm wondering if something similar has happened to Honor. It stopped updating on sailwx.info yesterday afternoon and is out of range for http://www.marinetraffic.com.

As for the weather, I just looked at the weather maps and noticed there does appear to be some situations that look less then idea in the northern Atlantic.
As the previous poster stated, so far it looks like the Honor is on schedule.
Thanks
Thanks to everyone for the information on the Honor. I know we all are quite anxious to get our Mini's
Funny thing is this is my 4th Mini and I'm just as crazy as those of you who are getting their 1st!

The schedule was updated on W&Ws site. It now shows next Tuesday as the estimated arrival. Which is a day before my birthday and the day I was hoping to take delivery, bummed a little.

Lots of Pixtures. ! "Pick my up" courtesy of my youngest granddaughter, Pixtures courtesy of South Philly slang.
My MA told me it takes 3 - 10 days for the car to be delivered once it ports. Are you serious. I think he forgot he told me chances were I would get it this weekend. I'm amazed at what sales people will tel you just to get you to shut up for awhile. REALLY!!!!!
Today he was sure to tell me my .9% interest is locked in. I forward the 0% interest email again to him and said "great that the .9% interest is locked in, But I want the 0% interest now' - MAKE IT HAPPEN!"
Let's see what he comes back with!

Where did you see 0%? That is not being offered by MINI? Another dealer may be having a sale for the end of the month and taking a loss on the rate to show that and get interest, but it is not available from MINI.
So much for lady luck!!! Arghhhhhhhhhh

One of you lucky people picking up your MINIs ought to bring along a cameraman to video tape the whole experience, so the rest of us can watch and dream of our big day.
